NATA Award Nominations: In an effort to ensure our members are recognized for their achievements, we've compiled a list of candidates in your state who are eligible for one of NATA's prestigious awards. We hope information will encourage you and other members of your state to nominate deserving candidates. Click here for details of the NATA awards and each award information.
NATA awards include:
Hall of Fame (prerequisite:
25 years certified membership)
- Reserved for those who have had an exemplary career as a certified athletic
trainer
Most Distinguished Athletic
Trainer (prerequisite: 20 years certified membership)
- Career contributions at the state, district and national levels
Athletic Trainer Service
Award (prerequisite: 15 years certified membership)
- Reflective primarily of contributions at local and state levels
President's Challenge
Award
- Recognition of a physician or other health care professional that is an advocate
of the athletic training profession
Honorary Membership
- A non-athletic trainer who has contributed to the growth of our profession
and association

Attached you'll find candidate information for your state, broken down by eligibility categories: 15 years of certified membership, 20 years of certified membership and 25 years of certified membership. (You have been sent only those lists that apply to the eligibility of members in your state. For example, if no one in your state has reached 15 years of certified membership this year, you will only receive documents for members reaching 20 and 25 years of certified membership.)
Details and nomination information for each of these awards can be found on the NATA web site at http://www.nata.org/honors/ beginning on August 1. Nominations will open on that day and close November 15. All completed applications, letters of recommendation and other supporting materials are due to the NATA office by December 1.
